Investment Philosophy

Perkins Coie Trust Company follows a strict discipline to ensure clients’ portfolios are invested with the appropriate asset allocation strategy and properly diversified within each asset class. Asset allocation—the mix of stocks, bonds, cash and other asset classes—is pivotal to meeting financial objectives in consideration of a client’s tolerance and capacity for risk. Diversification—broad exposure to all parts of the stock and bond markets—helps to reduce overall portfolio risk. We also follow “best execution” practices in selection of investments because costs matter, whether management fees or commissions.

Consistency is an important part of our approach. We have a long-term perspective on the markets and emphasize strategic over tactical asset allocation coupled with disciplined portfolio rebalancing as the optimal way to help clients meet their goals. We employ only highly experienced personnel to manage our investment process.
